Women’s and Pelvic Health

Your pelvic floor plays a crucial role in everyday life.

Your pelvic floor supports essential functions like urination, bowel movements, sexual health, pregnancy, and childbirth. It helps keep your bladder, intestines, and reproductive organs in place.

Sounds important? Absolutely!

Unfortunately, various factors can impact pelvic health, including trauma to the pelvis, a challenging birth, prostate or uterine cancer, chronic constipation, and more. When these issues arise, physiotherapy can help restore function and improve quality of life.

At CW Physio’s, we take an holistic and conservative approach to treatment, starting with lifestyle adjustments, dietary and fluid intake modifications, psychological support, electrotherapy, and pelvic floor rehabilitation. In some cases, more specialized interventions may be required, such as internal examinations, dilators for sexual dysfunction, and biofeedback techniques.

Pelvic health is just one part of the picture. Women’s health physiotherapy extends to post-operative care for breast cancer, including support through reconstruction, pre- and post-natal care, and the management of conditions such as diastasis recti, cracked nipples, and mastitis.

Your health and well-being matter. Let us help you take the next step toward your recovery and confidence.
