Sport Physiotherapy
A proactive approach to sport physiotherapy.
Sport physiotherapy focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and treating injuries specific to athletic activities. Its goal is to restore optimal function, reduce stress, and relieve pain associated with sports-related injuries.
What Does a Sport Physiotherapist Do?
A sport physiotherapist is highly trained to:
- Identify sport-specific injuries and provide targeted treatment.
- Treat both acute and chronic (recurring) injuries, ensuring proper healing and recovery.
- Guide athletes through a safe return to sport with tailored rehabilitation programs designed to meet the demands of their sport.
- Assess movement patterns to detect imbalances or faulty mechanics that may contribute to injury, and correct them.
At CW Physio’s, we take a proactive approach to sport physiotherapy. We aim to prevent injuries by addressing the root causes, rather than simply treating symptoms.
