Paediatrics & Neonatal Intensive Care

Our experienced physiotherapists provide specialized care for children of all ages.

Caring for a child’s health starts from day one. At CW Physio’s, our experienced physiotherapists provide specialized care for children of all ages, from premature babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to pre-teens. Our dedicated treatment spaces are designed with children in mind, equipped with the tools and space needed for effective therapy. Using a play-based approach, we create engaging and enjoyable sessions that benefit both the child and their caregiver. Parent and caregiver training is a key part of our philosophy, ensuring continuity of care beyond the clinic.

We provide physiotherapy for a range of paediatric conditions, including:

  • Developmental delays
  • Cerebral Palsy
  • Respiratory infections
  • Burn rehabilitation
  • Down Syndrome
  • Premature birth-related complications
  • Autism and ADHD
  • Orthopaedic conditions
  • Torticollis (neck muscle tightness)
  • Musculoskeletal conditions
  • Neurological disorders
  • Infant colic
  • Constipation and bladder dysfunction

Neonatal Intensive Care (NICU) Support

The NICU can be overwhelming for parents, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. As part of a multidisciplinary team, our physiotherapists provide expert care for premature and medically complex infants, both during their hospital stay and after discharge. Our goal is to equip parents with the knowledge and confidence to support their baby’s development.

In the NICU, our services include:

  • Chest physiotherapy for respiratory health
  • Neurological assessments and early intervention
  • Premature infant assessments and developmental support
  • Musculoskeletal assessments and treatment

Once babies leave the NICU, we continue to provide follow-up physiotherapy to help them reach their full potential, ensuring a strong foundation for growth and development.
