The vestibular system is required for image stabilization, balance and spatial orientation.

An inflammation or injury to the system can cause vertigo, dizziness, migraines, brain fog, etcetera. Many patients with vestibular issues actively try to prevent their onset of symptoms by avoiding rapid head movement. As a result, they may develop cervical issues.

Vestibular physiotherapy works on trying to alleviate the symptoms associated with specific conditions. Your physiotherapist could do specific maneuvers to help alleviate symptoms. The goals for treatment would be to regain balance through training, gaze stabilization, and improve the cervical spine range of motion.
