SPORT PHYSIOTHERAPY

Sport physiotherapy is the practice of assessing, diagnosing and treating the human body in relation to a specific sport. This is to restore function, reduce stress and relieve pain generally associated with sporting injuries.

What does a sport physiotherapist do?

  • They have a knowledge of specific sport related injuries that can occur.
  • Treat acute and chronic (recurring) injuries.
  • Safe return to sport through rehabilitation specific to your needs as an athlete.
  • Assess movement patterning and address patterns that can result in injury.

Here at CW Physio’s we aim to prevent and treat the cause of an injury rather than just the symptoms.
