GERIATRICS AND HOME VISITS

Physiotherapy intervention for elderly individuals plays an important role in improving their quality of life and maintaining their functional level. At CW Physio’s we have a gentle and caring approach when attending to our elderly patients. Our therapists stay in contact with the relevant involved family members on rehabilitation planning, progress and to answer any questions they may have.

Physiotherapy conditions often treated in our geriatric population includes:

• Fall prevention
• Strengthening rehabilitation following hospitalization or surgery
• Osteoarthritis
• Respiratory conditions
• Neurological conditions such as Stroke and Parkinsons

If you or your family member reside in an assisted living or frail care unit, we will gladly offer our services at the facility or in the convenience and comfort of your home should mobility be an issue. For long term effectiveness we do caregiver training and home assessments as part of our sessions.
